Okay, I finally succumbed to peer pressure. I think the problem with peer pressure is a lot of times we get pushed into doing something we didn't really want to do. In my case it was this and my peers were my sisters. I am not a writer and so the idea of a blog was definitely not appealing to me. I love to read my family's blogs. It has been like getting to open a little gift each time they would post. I even got a little greedy and would be irritated when the wouldn't post for weeks at a time. ( I mean if you are going to have a blog, blog right? ) Then I began to feel selfish. I get to enjoy their gift of self and I was not reciprocating, even when they asked and cajoled. Then I had an epiphany. I didn't have to write every day, maybe just once a week, and I didn't have to write all the entries I do have a husband and 5 children who would "love" to help me maintain a blog! So, throwing all caution to the wind I went to the blogger site. The first thing you have to do is name your blog. UGH!! I mean my son didn't have a name until we had been home from the hospital for a week and I had a good 9 Months to come up with one! Now I have to pull a name out of the air just to start a blog. I don't think so! I mean I didn't really want to do this in the first place so, I decided that I just wouldn't do it. Washed my hands. All done. One less worry. Then, because I commented on another person's blog they think I have a blog. "Danelle I tried to click on your link but nothing came up, what's going on?" More pressure and guilt. What's going on is that I can't think of a cute, clever, meaningful name! That was at least six months ago, maybe more, probably more because I think I have moved since then. No, I know I have moved since then. So here we are today with La Familia Aguilar. In the end I fell back into my old routine of just putting something down so I can get started. It's not cute or clever, in fact it is very utilitarian. However, it does have meaning in that this will be about our family, La Familia Aguilar.
